Position : Technologist Level 6 AXE Switching Technology Maintenace Group
Telstra's network reaches more parts of Australia than any other network. It links
the outback and offshore islands to the nation's urban centres and to the rest of
the world. It reaches 96% of Australian homes, and carries millions of phone calls
a day. Almost every call made in Australia passes through Telstra's Common Channel
Signalling network at some stage - including calls made through mobile networks,
international networks and our competitors' networks.
At Telstra's Global Operations Centre (GOC) in Melbourne Australia, we are
responsible for keeping this vast network operating smoothly, 24 hours a day,
365 days a year.
Responsibilities include:

Telads Communications Pty Ltd
August 1996 to December 1998
Position : Assistant Operations Manager & IAS Programmer.
Telads Communications is a Service Bureau. Their services are to provide
solutions to high volume call handling, information distribution and collection,
through Interactive Voice Response equipment interconnected to Telstra�s Infocall
190, 0055, 1800, 13, 11 and standard indial telephone number system.
Responsibly assisting the daily management of telephony services and the operation
of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Equipment, namely Brite Voice Systems
Interactive Audio Systems, Marconi Keycall, Incall and Columbus to industry
standards provided by TISSC (Telephone Information Services Standards Council).
Interactive Audio Systems (IAS) Programming
The IAS language is used for online voice response and interactive telephony
services application development. In conjunction with IVR equipment Brite,
Keycall, Incall and Columbus, my position and experience with IAS programming
has been in the form of developing 0055 / 190 and Inpho Call Plus Pre-recorded
message, Fax On Demand, Live Operator and general competition Queuing Services.
Maintaining client telephony service requirements
Other associated responsibilities have included solving client difficulties with
their existing services and providing viable solutions for their future services.
Working one on one with clients and prospective clients to provide customer
satisfaction. Service call statistics, program structural changes, recorded
service voiceovers and general individual service management for clients such as
those listed below, has been the key to my role at Telads Communications.

Migration of all Telads 0055 to 190 services
Due to Telstra�s advancements in their Intelligent Network and the advent of
products such as Infocall and Infocall Plus for Service Bureaus, the 0055 Network
has become obsolete, thus the introduction of the 190 platform and hence, the need
to migrate 0055 services.
This involved an intense overhaul of Telads service number records to detail
(including Routing Case, Line numbers, BT6, Exchanges, Krone), ongoing
consultation with our Telstra Account Manager, Premium Call Services (PCS) and
clients. The Telstra switch over date effective 30th August 1998.
Internal Staff Training
General office software and office automation, Internet and email, ASC Search
Services help desk (�Call Centre�) plus support documentation.
Technical Support & Maintenance
Dos, Windows 3.11 & 95 environments.
All Telads internal stand alone computers and peripherals - Consultation,
recommendation, purchasing, installation, upgrades and troubleshooting.
System information and data safety (including Y2K compliancy), backups and
restoration procedures.
Advanced Adjustable Beds Australia Pty Ltd
March 1995 to July 1996
Position : Assistant Production Manager & Manufacturing Supervisor.
Advanced Adjustable Beds Australia is a provider of therapeutic solutions to those
stricken with physical illness. Their products are totally Australian owned and
manufactured. Distribution centres are located nationally with their head office
in Melbourne.
Responsibilities included:

Position : Document Control Manager & Assistant Technical Writer/Editor
Ongoing documentation and graphic updates/maintenance to 20 technical manuals
of the Radar and Sensor Procurement Project (RASPP) for the Civil Aviation
Authority and Thomson Radar Australia. Development strategy to meet
international documentation standard IEEE 063-1987S.
CD-ROM Development Project -
Joint project : Adacel Multimedia, PSA Project Management Group,
Acumen People and Australian Business Theatre
Position : Multimedia Developer / Programmer
Responsible for module design, development and navigation for CBT CD-ROM.
This seven month project included the development of a highly advanced generic
simulator shell; the total design and implementation of the interface and user
navigation through the application; database development and reference linking
together with on-line help and paper-based support documentation.
The end result, 'Project 2000', a CBT cd rom in project management, currently
on sale in selected software distribution centres in Australia and New Zealand.

Design and development of an introductory level Training Course for Multimedia
Toolbook V3.0. Responsibilities included developing a computer based and
